GSA, Inc. provided all planning, design and construction administration services for hydraulic capacity improvements on four projects in an 8.2 mile reach of Bayou Francois in Ascension Parish. Specifically, GSA Engineers, utilizing a hydraulic model of the existing drainage basin, designed channel improvements that included removal of 110,000 cubic yards of material per mile and spoiling the material adjacent to the canal in accordance with a U.S. Corps of Engineers permit.
In addition to engineering design, GSA, Inc. coordinated all right-of-way acquisition for the project, provided on-site construction administration through the use of full-time inspectors and assisted Ascension Parish with all mitigative measures needed to complete the project.
