This project includes the reconstruction of eleven roadways in Ascension Parish in accordance with American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) guidelines. The project cost for this work is estimated at $30 million.
The design includes horizontal and vertical realignments and hydraulic analysis and improvements. The plans are being prepared according to the DOTD Roadway Plan and Preparation Manual. The additional right of way required for these improvements is defined and coordinated with an acquisition specialist.
The project also includes coordination with utility companies for relocation of the facilities that conflict with the proposed construction. GSA was also responsible for construction management on these roads.
